ข่าวสารถึงผู้ปกครอง

We have had a successful 1st week back on campus. The children seem very excited to be back on campus and socialising with their peers. We have tried to make this first week back as inclusive as possible for those children who are learning from home so they can still take part in the daily lessons. 

เราผ่านสัปดาห์แรกในการเรียนที่โรงเรียนที่ยอดเยี่ยม เด็ก ๆ ตื่นเต้นอย่างมากในการกลับมาเรียนและเจอเพื่อน ๆ ของพวกเขา เราพยายามที่จะทำให้สัปดาห์แรกของพวกเขาครอบคลุมที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้ โดยเฉพาะสำหรับเด็ก ๆ ที่เรียนจากที่บ้านที่สามารถมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมการเรียนสอนประจำวันได้

Language & Literature 

This week in Language and Literature class the children have been working on their summative assessment presentations on evaluating television shows, ratings and advertisement revenue. We have completed Unit 1. For next week, we will be working on completing the novel The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. 

วิชาภาษาและวรรณคดี

สัปดาห์นี้ในชั้นเรียนวิชาภาษาและวรรณคดี เด็ก ๆ ได้ทำการนำเสนอสำหรับประเมินท้ายหน่วยการเรียนรู้เรื่อง การประเมิน เรตติ้ง และรายได้ของรายการโทรทัศน์ต่าง ๆ เราได้จบหน่วยการเรียนรู้ที่ 1 เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว เราจะอ่านหนังสือเรื่อง สมุดบันทึกของหญิงสาวแอน แฟรงค์ให้จบในสัปดาห์หน้า










Individuals & Societies
Students in Individuals and Societies applied their mapping skills by trying to survive a plane crash in the sub-arctic. They negotiated and collaborated on decisions that they needed to justify using evidence. For example, groups needed to orientate their location using landmarks, the sun, scale and distance. As well, students attempted to select the best possible route through the mountainous terrain using topographic maps. 

Next week, the class will complete a written report on their decision-making process and share these reports with other groups in order to receive feedback.

นักเรียนวิชาบุคคลและสังคมใช้ทักษะการทำแผนที่โดยพยายามเอาชีวิตรอดจากอุบัติเหตุเครื่องบินตกในแถบขั้วโลกใต้ พวกเขาเจรจาและร่วมมือกันในการตัดสินใจที่จำเป็นต้องพิสูจน์โดยใช้หลักฐาน ตัวอย่างเช่น กลุ่มที่ต้องการกำหนดตำแหน่งโดยใช้จุดสังเกต ดวงอาทิตย์ มาตราส่วน และระยะทาง เช่นกัน นักเรียนพยายามเลือกเส้นทางที่ดีที่สุดผ่านภูมิประเทศที่เป็นภูเขาโดยใช้แผนที่ภูมิประเทศ

Maths

Students are starting with their criterion C summative task. Students will be inquiring on how systems using numbers have been developed throughout history as a response to human interactions. To do this students will have to research and compare different number systems, create a timeline to explore how mathematics manifested itself throughout history and for which purposes.

Science

Students are starting their summative task based on all four of the IB assessment criteria. Students will have to enquire and research information on cell structures and functions. Students will also have to look at different sources and types of evidence to identify which sources and evidence are reliable and useful. Furthermore, the students will look at how the electron microscope has revolutionised our understanding of cells as the most basic building blocks of life. Finally, students have to come up with a suitable method to look at blood cells and identify a person who is suffering from anaemia. 

วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์
นักเรียนเริ่มงานสรุปตามเกณฑ์การประเมิน IB ทั้งสี่ข้อ นักเรียนจะต้องสอบถามและค้นคว้าข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างและหน้าที่ของเซลล์ นักเรียนจะต้องดูแหล่งที่มาและประเภทของหลักฐานต่าง ๆ เพื่อระบุแหล่งที่มาและหลักฐานที่เชื่อถือได้และมีประโยชน์ นอกจากนี้ นักเรียนจะดูว่ากล้องจุลทรรศน์อิเล็กตรอนได้ปฏิวัติความเข้าใจของเราเกี่ยวกับเซลล์อย่างไรในฐานะองค์ประกอบพื้นฐานที่สำคัญที่สุดของชีวิต สุดท้ายนี้ นักเรียนต้องหาวิธีการที่เหมาะสมในการดูเซลล์เม็ดเลือดและระบุบุคคลที่เป็นโรคโลหิตจาง

      Parent Notice ข่าวสารถึงผู้ปกครอง Dear parents,  This year the parent conferences will be held a little differently than in the past. This year the parent conferences will be held via Google Meet on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 7th 2021. The children will attend school in the morning and then parents will come to pick them up after they finish their lunches at 12:20. Parent conferences are available to be held from 12:45-16:30. This will give the parents the time they need to get back home to attend any scheduled conferences. As part of this afternoon, we will require the learners to attend any parent conferences that their parents are signed up for. The children should also be sharing their Term 1 slides in their portfolios with their parents.   Dear parents,  We hope you enjoy our 3rd edition of our student blog! Language & Literature by Eliza & Rainer วิชาภาษาและวรรณคดี โดย เอไลซ่าและเรนเนอร์ In Language and Literature, during our Unit 3, we were learning about myths and legends. We watched some videos and researched about different myths and legends that take place around the world. Some examples are Medusa and the Kraken. We discussed the meaning of what myths and legends are used for. We wrote fictional stories on how we were faced by the Kraken while at sea.
